I had received news from a polymate i met at tampines mall. The news.. has very extremes of both ends.

Let me start wif the bad news first. One of a polymate tat i brieftly know had passed away 2weeks ago at KK hospital. My initial tots were "Wait a min, u meant she had died from a pre-existing disease?" On the contrary, I was told that she was battling with an infection of the brain called meningitis n it was a surprise tat she caught it. She had fought wif it for less than a month but lost the battle. It's quite ironic tat we are often bombarded with positive stories on the TV where ppls recover from the most dreadful diseases but yet, a young, barely 23 y.o. is just gone like tat. I may not know her well but such fragility of life.. at such a young promising age. So much she might have done/accomplish.. Sigh. Maybe there's another plan created for her somewhere up there. Maybe she was meant to be wif god? There's so many maybes. Whatever it maybe, i sincerely hope tat she'll be well in where ever she is.

Now for the lighter, cheerful news.. Yet another polymate of mine is married?! Oh my oh my.. yet again, it's another 23 y.o. fren of mine. Wat's wif this world these days? I might sound a little harsh but why??? Okay okay.. Another part of my brain is telling me tat they might have found the right one to settle down wif and they feel tat they are ready for it, and probably with the intention of setting up a family already. I am truely happy for them.. being able to live their lives with their other half.. I cant wait to carry and play with the little ones! Sometimes I just cant help but wonder.. when will i be married? (not tat i'm ready to settle down.. it's just a question!!) Wat will it be like? How will my life be like? How many kids will i have (if any)?

I was just telling a fren recently tat we dunno wat the future holds for us as much as we try to steer it to a particular direction.. So i'm just gonna take a step at a time. Baby steps till i reach there.. =)

I was just doing some reflection recently and I came to realised that we, humans, are constantly changing and every often, few actually do much of wat they preach. There's always tat kinda of situation tat puts one in a dilemna, and it challenge the core values of which one upholds. I guess we are often faced with making the right decision and doing what is best for all. I know i'm no angel.. and on the contrary, i think i might have been a bad person for most of e time.. (i'm not too good wif my words at times) I do have my misjudgements and my flaws. For those tat i have offended, stab in e back/heart/any other body parts, I'm sorry. I'm truely sorry.

Ya know, I have been waiting for this moment for eternity!! (almost lar.. hahaha) My licence took a while to approve due to some clarification needed but it's all well!! I'm so excited!! Tat means to say tat i'm moving on in terms of my career path!! Woohooo!!

Wow wow and wow!! I have not felt like this for a long time!! Time passes so fast.. especially when one's enjoying! I'm on leave since mon and there's so much tat's happenin!

I finally got my dose of driving on monday (my butt was itching) and was literally driving whole 2 days! I'm gonna be a lazy bum bum and just refer to Xuez and Karina's blog on our fantastic girl's day out at dempsey road (also known as the Sex(less) and the city). But not before saying a "Big Thank you" to xue for the cute envelope and cards she got for me in japan and the key chain and perfume Karina got for me in europe! I feel so loved by both of you! *hugz*

My family's advance father's day celebration down at ashton specialty at Katong was a blast, so much so tat we didnt take any pics.. *pouts* The steak was quite nicely done to my liking but if only the place was cooler coz i was seriously melting there. ha! Ive finally tried Awfully Chocolate's cake (my dad's father's day cake)! My bro didnt like it coz he says it's not sweet enough. Personally, i think e chocolate was very thick and rich with moist cake. And.. I finally got to Keppel marina! I had the impression it was some sort like mount faber at the beach when i 1st heard it from the cab uncle. Then i realised it was actually a country club.. not to mention tat parking there for less than 1/2 hr was $3. =X

Well.. i'm supposed to be in KL today but the unexpected happened so... I was frantically looking for another place to go to. I have sooooo many ideas coming true my head!! Part of me wants an adventure and the other part of me want something relaxing like some kind of spa. My excitement was dashed when i called the tour agency and they told me tat flight + hotel requires at least 3 days booking. Wee.. well.. i'm left with Batam and KL. I was toying with the idea of going alone and venture but upon consultation with my mummy (yesh.. i'm tat guai.. hahaha), i think i just might be able to find some1 to go to a trip wif me!!

The oddest thing i realised tat i'm usually have a plan or a schedule ahead.. now, i feel a little lost if not well relaxed and bumming at home e whole day! This is a well deserved rest for me!

Oh! and the worst and best part? I received a call from my boss on wed afternoon, (thank god i just parked the car) and he instructed me to submit my resignation letter. I almost blurted to my boss if he was kidding me but i held back. He then told me tat i will be given a new post of a dealing representative. I was momentarily stunned. Then i asked, "You meant i've got my licence?" Of course lar!!!!!!!! Finally!!!! Gosh.. my career is finally taking flight!! I have been waiting for this moment for a long time!!

It has now been three months since I left for college. I have been remiss in writing this and I am very sorry for myt houghtlessness in not having written before. All right now; this is not easy to write about. I am getting along pretty well now. The skull fracture, and the concussion I got when I jumped out of the window of my dormitory when itcaught fire shortly after my arrival, is pretty well healed. Fortunately, the fire in the dormitory and my jump, werewitnessed by an attendant at the gas station near the dorm.

Now about this attendant, he was the one who called the fire department and the ambulance. He also visited me at thehospital, and since I had nowhere to live because of the burnedout dormitory, he was kind enough to invite me to share hisapartment with him and his three buddies. It's really a basementroom, but it's kind of cute.

He is a very fine boy and we have fallen deeply in love and are planning to be married. We haven't set the exact date yet, but it will be before my pregnancy begins to show. Yes, Mom and Dad, I am pregnant. I know how much you are looking forward tobeing grandparents. I know you will welcome the baby and give itthe love, devotion and tender care you gave me when I was a child.

The reason for the delay in our marriage is that my boyfriend has some minor infection which prevents us from passing ourpre-marital blood tests, and I carelessly caught it from him.This will soon clear up with the penicillin injections I am having daily. I know you will welcome him into our family withopen arms. He is kind and, although not well educated, he is ambitious.

Although he is of a different race and religion than ours, I know your often expressed tolerance will not permit you to be bothered by the fact that his skin color is different than ours.I am sure you will love him as I do. His family background isgood too, for I am told that his father is an important weapons dealer in the village from which he came. Sakae teppanyaki.. Gosh!! Talk abt dinning experience.. It's absolutely marvelous!! Fried rice in a capsicum cup, chawamushi in an onion bowl, assorted mushroom (i cant resist!), yummy scallop with freshness, lightly toasted foie gras plus e nicely grilled meat.. Heavenly!! I highly recommend it!

Here we are at timber on a Saturday where 7 of us turn up tat night! It was my first time there and i'd say it was it's pretty amazing.. outdoor seating with a hyper live band playing. Not exactly e most conducive place to chat but i'm sure they'll all agree tat we had a great time with calamari, beer and red wine (v v lethal combi)!!

Tat's me and my bf at the reservoir.. I find it ironic that we hardly had a decent date since we are together for a yr+! Coz (excuses.. hahaha) we are both v busy ppls. =P But i'm grateful and thankful for it. I'll treasure e times when we are together. *okay okay.. my goosebumps is coming out.. whahaha*

E only flower i have for this valentines.. (coz i didnt wan any. ha!) But this was sweet enough! Literally! A single rose in jelly. Neat! (Didnt think that he will think of this!) For once i shall praise u for being smart. =P

My attempt at pasta.. again!! hahahaha! Unfortunately... too much pasta and not enough sauce.. =X

Though it's just a simple movie and dinner at mac, but it's kinda sweet. To be honest, i always toyed with the idea of having a good meal at some restaurant with a bunch of flowers and a black car at e carpark nearby and a stroll down some beach late in the night during valentines day. But i guess it's not so much abt where, wat and when, it abt with who at that point of time. *so corny.. =P* And i've gotta say tat i was happy. really. =P

My visit to Chek Jawa with Dr Chua and group. Gosh.. it's amazing!! Not only the scenery was breath taking, we had the honour of goin down onto the sand bed and observe these creatures! I'd never imagine tat there is so many life forms down at spore! Many thanks to those who had provided us with food and transport. If ever any1 gets e chance to go to chek jawa, pls do! U'll be surprised by wat u will find.

Absolute bliss.. fine chocolate made from the best cocoa beans and only pure ingredients used. Did i mentioned tat it's only $10? It's almost a spa therapy, with a guarantee that u'll feel good after having some. (Disclaimer: only if ure a dark chocolate lover) It's so good tat i finished e whole bar in 1 settling.. (i'm not gonna tell ya how long i take to finish it.. hahaha)

*Stressed*

Sigh.. so many things happen all at once. Wee.. As much as i try being happy and productive, i'm bothered by wat's happening. I'm just need an outlet to rant and vent my anger.. so if ure not agreeable abt me typing it here, dun read any of this..

First, work. Not e top priority of my life but it take a big chuck of my time. Dunno if i should be happy tat my new colleague is coming in 2mr.. In a way, i should be coz some1 will share e wkload but then again, dunno y i'm feeling uneasy abt it.. Maybe i'm comfortable wif where i am. Then again, being roasted daily aint very comfortable position..

2nd, Family. Yep.. not tat they r posing me any problems. In fact, i'm grateful.. But last i heard that an uncle is in hospital and in critical condition and might be going off anytime. I'm not particularly close to him but i'm still human.. just reminded me how fragil life is.. and my mum is busy wif his stuffs.. so i dun wan to add on to her worries..

3rd, Loan. Nope.. not credit card.. dun have any yet. But i have 2 existing study loan with i have to service.. I total loathe the banks and their competency. Gosh.. it's so hard to get something done and when they demand for payment, they do all kinds of methods. So much for written agreements. They dun honour wat they mentioned over e phone, or so ive been told. And they forcefully deduce from my other personal a/c w/o even letting me know. Besides tat, e call centre supposed to get the credit department to call me during lunch but they kept calling me at 9-10am instead. Like i dun have to wk.. then where do i get e $ to pay them.. Argh.. And now, they demand tat i clear a balance tat defaulted for 5mths!! I'm like.... wat e hell?! I wasnt even aware of it! U guys deduced from my a/c w/o even notifying me and now u wan me to pay e bal? U gotta be kidding..

4th, R/S. Come to think of it.. respect is earn not given eh? And who on earth gives any1 e rights to judge any1. I'm not there for u? Think abt when u needed e cash and u asked for e amt. U mentioned exams. Didnt i sent ya comforting msg and asked ya if e sch allow ya to retake? And didnt i mentioned tat i can study econs with ya? And fuck. So wat i'm a social smoker? Almost every1 knows abt it. It's a matter of choice. So wat if ure gonna let my parents know.. U think ure a saint or doing a good deed by doing tat? Ure so wrong. E worst part? I havent touched it for a couple of months and u know wat? I was being honest with ya when i told u everythin. U said i wasnt mature? Gosh.. Look at e mirror and tell me now. I feel so betrayed.. e person i can trust most.. Funny how it can become a double edged sword from the most unlikely person. I havent tried u said? So e cards and e gifts e past mths is just for nothing? U said u had to endure my tantrums.. ha! and u admited ure quick tempered. Not to mention, harbouring the anger of past issues. As if i'm not tahaning like tat. Ure stressed and tired with wk? Ure e only 1 lar.. U blamed me for taking on soooo much work in e previous mth when i explained tat all e students i have was be4 i have my full time job, now, how r u gonna explain urself? So ironic..

5th, Me. Wee.. Sometimes i feel tat i'm not improving... I'm no where near of wat i should do. Sometimes i wonder if i'm on e right track. Hack. Maybe i should be a guy instead of a female. hahah. I'm not performing as well as i planned at wk and i'm not learning anythin!! My complexion is getting worse (with all e stress.. it's a little wonder), i'm way pass my formal slim self (yesh.. sitting in an office all day), I'm not knowing new ppls.. i'm total quiet in office and during meetings. (i just either dun feel like talking or i dun wan to make myself look stupid) and all e surprises when pandora is supposed to be e jumpy, outgoing, sporty self. I should kick myself in e ass for going into self pity. Okay okay.. i allow myself to bellow.. maybe for a few days.. hahahahah.. makes me a little more humane lar.. i'm not a super human hor.. i have my down days too.. this is one of them.. Boohoo...

My 1st yr anniversary celebration! French cuisine any1? Weide (above) looks so much like a wine expert! ha! We had our very 1st es-cargo there and our 1st (and probably our last) foie gras. E es-cargo tasted like shell fish except it's firmer with some herbs and olive oil, quite pleasant as a starters though. And e foie gras.. man.. almost unbelievable. It's lightly toasted on top of a piece of potato with olive oil and sauce which i presume is black vingar and some salt. E taste u ask? Just imagine eating fatty meat that has been cooked for a long time that it melts and disintergrate e moment it touches your mouth.. Absolute bliss. But e tot of e poor geese being force fed.. i think i can make do with Kuo Ruo Bao. hahaha. We had mixed vege soup which taste pretty pleasant and our main course! Weide had grill chicken with fantastic presentation and i had steak with mushroom sauce. E chicken and steak was okay but e interesting part is e potato side dish. It's more like broken pieces of potato which has a lovely olive oil taste to it as well.. E french use lots of olive oil eh? And e last.. and my favourite of all.. Desserts!! And wat was left was this...

Realised that i hadnt take any pics for all e wonderful food that I've eaten! hahaha. Gotta take some for memory sake so.. this is e last of it. heheh. This and another v special chocolate cake is great! It's not too heavy with e strong taste of dark chocolate.. ah.. Finish it up with a glass of dessert wine. That's not all! We both got a vochure for free massage!! How cool was tat! hehehe. Thank you dear!! =)

Finally!! After say.. a yr or 2 and i changed my blog skin!! Hurray!!

Shockingly, I'm home since early afternoon on a Sunday. Wow.. i have never stayed home on a day tat long! ha! And e achievement in tat? I've cooked a meal today!! hahaha. Me fried fish, boiled vege (and i bet u say every1 can do) and i stir fried mixed mushrooms for lunch!! So much for me not being able to cook. ha! I love e mushrooms e most!! Crunchy woody favours brought by button mushroom and it's lightly salted and favourful.

My bf gotta say this: "okay.. so now u can cook 4 dishes instead of 3."
My response? "I can cook de hor.." (yesh.. my desperate attempt to save myself. ha!)

Shoe problemz.. I bet most of us girls ever had their heels broken or straps tat came off rendering them helpless. I just had one such incident today again...

So co-incidentally i was on my way to MAS for my exams today while walking on the pavement when my shoe gave way. Wee.. i just got them yesterday for $5 (great.. lesson to be learnt here tat cheap shoes spoilts v v easily) But no way i'm just gonna stand there helplessly with 10mins before my paper commence.. With quick thinkin and my handy brown bag (aka Pandora's box), i took out several paper clip. Now now, ure wondering wat kind of shoe and wat was e problem eh?Just imagine cutting off the only strap that is attached to the sole on a pair of slippers. yep.. it's tat bad that i cant even drag my feet w/o the shoe coming off. So i used the paper clips to pin thru straps together, something like a slipper. And i managed to finish my paper, walked to international plaza, 2 shoe shops before settling down on a new pair of shoe. ha! My make shift shoe worked!! whahahaha.

I just cant imagine how i tot of such stuffs. "Xiao cong ming" eh? hahaha. Smart me.

I ran 3.2km!!!! Can u believe it!! hahaha..

I had attended the Bull run yesterday conducted at padang. I'm not e running kind of person plus i dun quite fancy running and havent got up to do any exercise for like... *counting fingers.. eh.. not enough fingers* And, i was asked to sign up. No harm eh? For charity? Sounds good. But... I have not ran for more than 10m except for chasing the bus.. and i actually managed to clock 30mins for the 3.2km! It might sounds v lousy to professional runners out there but e fact tat i stuck my way thru and ran w/o stopping for more than 2.4km! It's q a feat to me!! I have to admit, when i'm running with the crowd, i feel motivated to run as well. Nearing to the finishing line where i walked for a while to catch my breath, my co's it manager was encouraging me to finish it! However now, my leg muscles are calling out for help. hahaha. I love e feeling after exercising.

Bliss man.. Speaking of which, i've gotta get my ass up and exercise! Any exercise kaki? Badminton, swimming, and i'm considering running. All are welcomed!

I absolutely adore off-days!!! Total bliss. The pace of lifestyle is so much slower, definitely better for the heart. hahaha. It's my last consecutive off day.. kinda wishing time would slow down so that i can still savour every last moment.

I come to realized that i dun have to be overseas to have fun! ha!~ all e more interesting eh? Those last wk was kinda filled with tuition and some parties/gatherings, date with my bf down at geylang serai - was kinda inprompto but hey! it's an eye opener! It really feels almost like chinatown during chinese new yr! For once I've watched TV and movie all in the same day! Not once in this yr i have done this!! 1 movie: flight plan, 1/2 high sch musical 2 (great..), 1 episode of CSI miami (gosh, i missed this show!!), 1/2 episode of ugly betty. So much for a day!! But it truly refreshing. And, i have finally had e chance to "nua" in bed!! it's like, knowing that i dun have to rush to another area for wk.. And of course, though minimal but I'm proud to say, I've packed my stuffs! *bleams with a sense of accomplishment* Finally updatin my blog when ppls been telling me that i will take a v v long time to (but i still do!!) E only thing i ought to do and have not done is.. exercise. hahaha. All my excuses not to.. Been busy!! SomPa! yea yea.. i know. I must get my act together!! But 1st, i wanna get my fav, Myojo Ramen Cha Mee!! I tell u, it's absolutely delicious. E 1st time i tasted it like wat i used to do with the soup version except this is tastier! I just realized that it has been yet another month since i've blogged. hahahaha. No one's complaining... Except tat once they've stopped reading coz i hadnt updated, i updated!! ha! Life's passes like a blink of an eye!! As i grow older, i find tat there are sooo much things for me to do but yet so little time! E typical things tat hungs on my list are.. I just went for a Sudoku challenge at SMU 2day!! Though i havent got into e finals but i'm cool. Ive never did 4 puzzles in 1 go!! HA! But i'm glad e fact that i have did my best. Ha! yep yep.. havent been updating for a long long time!! As wat they like to say, e curse of e full time job! hahahah. I just gotten e dream job tat i hoped for. Honestly, I'm v thankful tat everythin went smoothly and i was guided to e path tat i chose. E best part? I'm working in e industry 1st to experience and learn be4 my actually education! Initially, i had a part time job dealing wif futures, and now? Securities. As wat my boss says, e learning curve is super steep for me and i'm glad! Boy, scoldings r a definate thing but i'm actually takin it q well. I'm q surprised myself too. =) whahahaha.

I just realised tat as i grow older, i'm more appreciative of the things around me. (Am i really tat old?!) And i just wonder, why didnt i take time to breathe? hahaha. Yep.. as much as i have a whole lot of stuffs waiting for me to do, i think taking some time to show ppls around u tat u care aint too much to ask for eh? =) And if any of u r reading this.. i wanna catch up wif u!! We must keep in touch! =)

My my.. e girl on e right look so much like me when i was in sec sch!! hahahaha. Wif e exception of me definately not a top student (though i was technically in e best class) and.. my teeth is more croaked than this! hahaha. Such resemblence.. This world is amazin huh? Maybe she's my twin.. hm..
